On October 30, 2019, New South Properties acquired Sunset Corners Shopping Center located at the intersection of Sunset Road and Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, NC.
Sunset Corners is a 50,000 SF retail center anchored by Food Lion and is currently 100% leased. Recognizing the value of this location and the long-term success of Food Lion, New South made the strategic decision to invest heavily in improvements to the shopping center which resulted in a long-term commitment from Food Lion. Those improvements include upgrading all exterior lighting to LED, painting all the metal roof sections, and pressure washing the sidewalks and masonry facade. Additional improvements are planned which include installing a new monument sign, relocating the SECU ATMs within the parking lot and further enhancements to the aesthetics of the center. At New South it’s important to reinvest in our assets and to invest in underserved areas of Charlotte as a way to continue to enhance those communities.
